This might just be one of the best pork tenderloin recipes ever – a perfectly cooked tenderloin covered in herbs and melted garlic butter. Yum! Easy and quick to make and makes super leftovers, let’s cook! The recipe serves four.
Ingredients
- 600 g pork tenderloin
- 1 tbs olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 4 tbs butter
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced into thin slices
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley (or 1 tbs frozen)
- 1 tsp dried sage
Preheat the oven to about 225°C, or about 380°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil. In a small bowl, combine sliced garlic and all the herbs. Set aside.
Generously season the tenderloin with salt and pepper. Cook the meat in olive oil in al large pan, until golden brown on all sides. Transfer to the baking sheet.
Coat with the herb and garlic mix. Place nubs of the butter on top. Wrap the foil and bake until the meat is 72°C at its thickest (about 25 minutes). Let it rest for at least five minutes.
Slice and place on a serving tray. Coat with the garlic butter sauce from the foil package.
Serve with a potato or root vegetables gratin and a green salad on the side. Enjoy!
