Designing your home can be a complex affair. It’s not only about picking floors, wall colors and furniture. The final touch is in the details, a nice lamp can pull the whole design together. Today, we have rounded up a bunch of great lamps to glam up your modern home!
Make a natural statement
Rattan is taking the interior design world by storm. We are seeking designs that are more natural, organic and with texture to fill our homes with. Rattan works very well with an overall neutral home design.
If you’re looking for an easy way to add a touch of luxury to your home, then this one’s for you. Metallic finishes like gold, bronze and copper are becoming increasingly popular and they make a great statement in any home.
Feel but not see
Modern interior design is based on simplicity and cleanliness. Today it’s important to feel the lighting, but not to see it. This is where LED plays a major role. Also possibilities, like changing the color temperature and connecting multiple LED lights to a wireless system, is key to its success.
The versatility of Glass
Lamp designers are once again discovering the possibilities of glass. In general, glass in its original form, like organic spherical shapes or large geometric forms, finds its way in to lamp designs. The colors are discreet: clear to pastel or smoky nuances. We’ve also noticed that glass is often combined with shiny metals or with natural materials such as marble and wood.
Ode to the Mephis Group
Founded in 1980 and fronted by Italian designer and architect Ettore Sottsass, the Memphis Group was a design collective that were reacting against the inflexibleness of modernism through unconventional patterns, bold colors, and geometric shapes. Today we can once again see a departure from the muted colors and clean silhouettes that dominated the better part of the 2010s, to bolder and brighter designs.
High Market concrete
Whether you’re DIY-ing it or buying it, the concrete trend is no longer confined to bathrooms and kitchen countertops. The concrete has moved into the high design market. So if you’re not ready to DIY your kitchen countertop just yet, why not invest in a unique, well designed concrete lamp.
